How we reach a verdict.
VYRDICT separates attention from value. Viral Score describes momentum; Worth Score reflects our editorial assessment of real-world value, consumer experience, repeat use, price/value, category expectations, and hype risk.
Research before publication
Products added through our suggestion and research pipeline are reviewed before publication. We verify the exact product identity, current trend signal, available imagery, shopping routes where possible, and the information used to support the final scores.
Scores are editorial judgments
VYRDICT scores are structured editorial assessments, not laboratory certifications or guarantees. A high Viral Score does not automatically mean a product is good, and a high Worth Score does not mean every shopper will have the same experience.
Our current score bands and Skip List rules are documented on the How Scores Work page.
Shopping links and independence
Retailer links are selected for usefulness and verification. If VYRDICT later earns commissions from eligible shopping links, commercial relationships will not determine Viral Scores, Worth Scores, or editorial verdicts. Sponsored placements, if introduced, will be identified separately from editorial scoring.
Freshness and corrections
Product availability, pricing, retailer routes, images, and trend momentum can change. VYRDICT records verification dates and re-review dates for catalog products. When we identify an error or materially outdated claim, we aim to correct the underlying catalog record rather than preserve a stale verdict.
Suggestions are research leads
A user suggestion does not automatically enter the public catalog. Suggestions first enter a private research queue and must pass the same review process before publication.
